The Barcelona Taste: because it’s delicious

Barcelona is a major tourist destination – the number of guidebooks and websites devoted to the city is overwhelming! Which is why we started The Barcelona Taste … to save you time so you can experience the best food Barcelona has to offer while side-stepping the crowds.

We take you to small, local businesses offering delicious, top quality food restaurants on our scrumptious tours – because they’re great. We visit, we taste and then we visit again and taste again. Ad infinitum! That’s our research.

We don’t take a “pile ‘em high” approach with our guests. Our focus is on providing the best possible quality in everything we do. This includes limiting our tours to very small numbers, to give personal attention and feed everyone well.

Lindsay

Left my cold Canadian roots for Sunny Spain back in 2015 and lived happily ever after
My favourite Catalan dish has to be Calçots with Romesco sauce! Messy and fun, these seasonal spring onions are BBQed with friends and often eaten outside while sharing a Porron of wine!
If you find yourself in Barcelona on a weekend afternoon, the lush squares of the Gracia neighbourhood are the perfect spot to mingle with locals and expats on the terrace of a Vermuteria.

Sky

In 2018, I left the vibrant life of Colombia for the culture and energy of Spain, came for an MBA, stayed for the vida Catalana!
My favorite Catalan treat? Definitely bunyols, sweet anise-scented dough balls, best enjoyed with strong coffee, loud laughter, and good friends.
Grab your crew and hit Carrer de Blai at golden hour, where every bar overflows with colourful pinchos and the clink of cañas or wine seals the perfect evening.

Lorea

Born in Madrid with a Basque family, surname and blood, lived in Barcelona for more than 20 years, can you believe that?
My favourite dish: txipirones en su tinta (squid in ink sauce).
Don’t try to see everything when you are on vacation! Embrace “slow life”.

Noah

Orginally from the USA, I’ve lived in Barcelona for more than 14 years.
Unmissable dish: slow cooked beef cheeks.
Don’t keep your nose in your phone, be in the moment when you’re on vacation!

Esther

I was born in the beautiful and flamenca city of Granada and have lived in beautiful Barcelona for 7 years.
My favorite Catalan dish is the delicious fricandó, a beef and mushroom stew made with a good wine and cognac.
Don’t forget to take a stroll through beautiful Barceloneta and lose yourself in some of its most traditional bars.
